trouble with robins

Robins have been my blues problem this yr. not HOSP or Wrens, I'm afraid they killed one of the babies, I'm only seeing 2 today with Dad in the trees....since my blues came back this spring the Robins have been chasing them from the top of their BB house all around the yard or if they're sitting on the wire they attack them. I don't remember them being this bad last yr. just wondered if anyone else is having problems with these aggressive birds?

I do not believe Robins would kill a baby Blue or any other bird.

I can't imagine a Robin being aggressive. They are always quite peaceful around here. I have never seen them go after any other bird.

This robin has been cancelled due to the last robin never being returned home. gardeningnutinva z7 (hokiefantimes4@aol.com) has the box. It only takes one person to ruin a robin. I was going to let other people fill in this robin, as I just do not have enough seeds to get it started properly. Howeber that is really not fair to them or to the other robins I am in and need the current seeds I have to trade with. I am very sorry to all the people who were interested. Due to my health and being 8 months pregnate I will not be able to follow this robin through. It is cancelled. I am very sorry. I am disappointed too.

I have a Robin's nest in the tree closest to my bluebird house, and the bluebird sits in that same tree keeping watch sometimes. No problems between them at all. Once in awhile one or the other wants that sitting spot, but there is no actual aggressive behavior.

Robins around here do chase the Bluebirds and other birds but I doubt they would harm them. They are just keeping birds away from their nest and babies.

Robins are usually only aggressive in response to predators or other threats near their nest. I've also seen them steal other bird's perches. (Which I find odd)

If anything, a hawk would be the problem. One always comes around here terrorizing our local birds but a neighbor seems to continue to feed. Consider yourself blessed if you have a hawk free neighborhood, because I sure don't!
