Kathy; No, The Red Lilies are "Red Alert" Vickie:I agree with you, that I have wonderful daughters. 3 of them. Nancy: No I do not use a flash outside at all.Ms Blackie had her eyes squinted half shut, because the sun was very bright, and she had just walked out of bright sun into the shade. She dont act like the same cat that came here about 7 yrs ago.She was so wild and skinny,I could not get closer then 15 feet from her.She is still on the skinny side, even tho she eats good, she never puts much weight on. and yes, she really is content. She seems happiest when she can be near me and just looks me right in the eye and purrs very loud. Thank you Rita, I do love these Red lilies. I will have to bring this Pink rose outside and give it some sunshine,as it wont live long inside, and as it grows I will pot it in a bigger pot. I planted Hydrangeas in the ground years ago here and none of them lived,so wasnt going to take a chance with these two and put them in big pots.Well, the one is planted in a large plastic tub as you can see,and I just drilled a bunch of holes in the bottom for drainage.Besides these tubs was selling for $ 4,00 each at the time, and the big pots was $ 20.00.I plant tomatoe plants in these big tubs too each year and those tubs are now 10 yrs old, sitting in the sun all day, so they do last a long time, too. Them scapes are beautiful to me right now.Its hard to wait to see a bloom. Jean

Love them all Dot, but you're right I do really need SC...WOW...what a show. I love that PIP also. Of the combination of beautiful color and huge white watermark with those fabulous edges...what's not to love? They are all very pretty and I appreciate you sharing them. I will have a few to upload later today when I've got more time. Not to many blooming here today, but I'll combine yesterdays and todays blooms. :) Have a great day. Jan

Sorry, guys! But, how nice of you to notice! Okay, here it is: I've had others now bloom (I think maybe 5 or so) and it is still, by far, the best. What I like about it is that is has pretty good branching and is already two fans (good sized ones). I took the advice given here and have attempted pods on it (two, so far) as it has now has had several more blooms. Of the others, I like this one, although I cannot figure out how it came out of this (Snow in Autumn x Wonders Never Cease): This is its first flower, so I'm eager to see what's next! Well, I'm hoping for quite a few more seedlings to bloom, so maybe there will be something interesting. Most of the others look remarkably similar...even with vastly different parents....nice, slightly peachy with edges...but nothing that makes you go WOW. I bought this seedling from Mr. Benzinger (of Buttered Popcorn, et al) last year. I think it is pretty wild and am looking forward to seeing what it does: Can you see all its stripes??

Thanks everybody for your kind comments! Tampafred, if you have Marshalls or TJ Max in your area, check them out (I've been to Tampa a few times and I think there is a Marshalls store off Hwy.... on your way to Tarpon Springs, on the right). I've got my pots (from the last pic) from these two stores. What I liked about them is the design, decent size, the price, of course :) and the quality. They are made of a very heavy clay (I beleive), so they are very stable. I did need to drill a drainage holes in those pots, though. They are probably designed for indoor use. Also, I saw similar pots with different decore - also assorted shapes and sizes, only the design is done in blue. Ooohhh.... os pretty, only does not go with my color scheme, unfortunately :( Marina

Pure poetry, Dave. Period. And I can almost hear those three fledglings singing in harmony in the 7th capture! I also use one of your earlier photos of Mr. Blue as my screensaver--nothing more beautiful to look at first thing in the morning!

I'm at awe again with your pictures, as always, I starting to take better pictures as I push my ISO up and shut full aperture, took a bunch Sat. will post them after a few days after these wear off and I can find more time to do it. My second batch, 3 fledglings flew off Sat, I didn't catch them, but sat around most of the day trying to catch them. They left when I went into town for a typical Sat evening meal, I think they were waiting for me to leave anyway.

Beautiful Dave,

Our 2nd brood (5) are still in the far trees, but we see them coming closer daily. So we hope to have some shots of our new fledges soon too.

Meanwhile, the first nest fledglings (3) are still coming to the deck quite often, and their parents seem pretty tolerant of them so far. I have a lot of "first nesters" shots I haven't gotten to yet.

great shooting as always,

Kenn :)
