Last year I saw one male Rose Breasted GB. This year I saw 3 males and one female. Same with Oriols. Last year one male. This year 3. I think parents bring their offspring back with them. The GBs just pass through and nest further north, but the orioles nest here in NE Ok. My dad had one of the pendulous nests hanging from a tree in his front yard.

I put out nectar, oranges and grapes (not grape jelly) and have both Baltimore and Orchard orioles, Ruby-throated hummingbirds, Gray catbirds, Rose-breasted grosbeaks, house finches, and others eating almost constantly. Cathy, I'm amazed that your oranges aren't more popular, we go through several a day with the orioles and catbirds the main indulgers. My woodpeckers don't eat the fruit at all. elke, no need to add food coloring to either hummingbird or oriole nectar, they will find it just fine without. And I use the same ratio for both as both hummers and orioles eat from either type of feeder - apparently no one told them that the little red feeder is for hummers and the big orange one is for orioles, lol. One way is to go to photobucket.com and open a free account. Upload your pictures to that account. After uploading them hover your cursor over them and you will see a box with several lines of code. Click on the one that says 'html code' and it will be saved. Go to your gardenweb post and paste that code where you want the picture to be. You can put more than one in the post. When you preview the pictures will show up where you pasted the codes.
