Ken- no, I did not get a hosta 'Ken Marek'. Do you still have the 'Spilt Milk' I gave you? AL- alas, my 'Charming Chub' joined Chub Harper and didn't survive the first winter. It was my own fault for planting such a small graft in the ground. I'll try and get some updated pix of the others. For now, there is a 2016 version of my 'Green Arrow' here. tj

I have a few Daylilies (yellow Mary Todd, Little Wine cup, something Pink, and a sour cherry color); some Peonies; Autumn Joy and Indian Chief Sedum - that I would love to swap for Hostas if anyone is interested in that. I prefer hostas that bloom white.

Ah, just finally picked 2 p.m. as the time before I saw the last post. I have invited others through the local Milwaukee freecycle chat group and sounds like a few of them will be participating, too. 1115 43rd St. zip 53108. Â Thinking of the freeway, we are 1 mile west of I-94 between 7 Mile Rd. and Hwy G, near the top of Racine County. Basic directions: take I-94 to 7 Mile Rd., go one mile west (past the 7 Mile Fair) and turn left (south) onto 43rd St. Â We are the second house on the right, in all the trees. Â Home phone: 262-835-2393 in case you get lost or have questions. :-) Plants can be in pots or just boxes or bags, but should have some kind of name tag, on a piece of paper or popsicle stick or whatever, so that you know what you are bringing home. Â Can be flowering plants, vegetables, bushes, groundcover, baby trees, seeds, whatever you have to share. I am going to dig up some things ahead of time, but since it is at my house, I will dig up some things as requested, so wouldn't hurt to bring along a box or something to put plants in. Hi, I was potting stuff up today and wondering the same thing, is everybody bringing stuff in actual pots? I have a lot of pots, the problem for me is filling them in with dirt. Hate to leave big holes all over where I dig the stuff up from, but plants in pots need dirt. So I was thinking about the plastic grocery bag route myself, although so far I have filled lots of pots. I don't see why it wouldn't be okay to use bags. I certainly don't think anyone should have to run out and buy pots! Lots of people have given me their old pots (and all sorts of old junk, I am a saver) that is why I have them. Just be sure you label the containers whatever they are, so the people you swap with will know what they have later. FREE DOOR PRIZES :-) Everyone who comes can have a free white dahlia. Flowers are reported to be the size of a large plate. My father-in-law sent me boxes of them for the plant swap. I am authorized to get hostas and other perennials in exchange for some, but mainly he wants to give the dahlias a new home. Each one is actually a cluster and could be subdivided further. Marcia
