stinging insects

Hello,

Do you have trouble with stinging things making nests in your baffles? I just had to spray a nest of yellow-jacket-y looking waspy things who were building a nest at the top of my baffle. Iound it when I went to put up the sparrow spooker, so I already have eggs and I hate to spray nasty chemicals so close to them! I did douse the area with tons of water after spraying....

A few weeks ago I had a wasp investigating the baffle under my feeder. He seems to have moved on, luckily. Any idea how to make baffles less home-y looking to these guys?

Ann
