Jenni - I checked on the FC2 - they do not have Elf - they have Rainbow 's Weeping Clown R. Wasmund, semiminiature trailer, single light lavender/purple fantasy, medium green. And when I look at the pics at FC2 - they are more pink than lavender and they show the extra little petal - just like yours. (possibly the hybridizer had series of trailers and they were all "Weeping" - or it is just misnamed) The blue one - is a sport - it is very typical - from a fantasy plant - you can get solid colored babies in both pink and blue. Or parts of the same plant start sporting. So if you want to have a proper name - it will be "a sport of Rainbow..." Both plants are very happy and cute. Thank you for the pics. Irina

But figfarmer's figs are also different in shape/size. I also think it's a graft. Follow the branches to the trunk of the tree and see if all of one color track back to a particular branch and all of the other color to another. If someone was motivated, there could be a bunch of grafts, but maybe the grafter had my level of ambition and did only one.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I've poked around in the hosta library, and I've looked through my Encyclopedia of Hostas. So far, Golden Scepter still is the frontrunner, but not by much! Lots of possibilities with this one... Caliloo, it sure does look like your plant. I'll keep looking to see if I can figure it out. The nursery from which I bought them had at least two dozen plants tagged 'Grand Tiara,' and all of them looked like the one on the left. This little gold one was stuck in the middle of that table. I didn't think they all could be mislabeled, but it sure is a possibility, no question. Are the top two perfectly round and red b'c what I see with the bottom ones are small plums that are not the same color, being more orange. I've given up keeping track of all the Goliaths, but are you growing one the F1 hybrids or one of the OP's or the heirloom Goliath, which is also OP. And your seeds were purchased or received in a trade? Having all four plants give you two shapes and sizes and colors says to me that something's amiss somewhere and so I'm assuming you aren't growing one of the commercially avaialable F1 hybrid Goliaths.
