Thank you everyone, I agree English Perfume is lovely! Moses, as far as I know EP is only available own root. I got mine from Roses Unlimited. It being own root has not hindered bloom size at all from what I can tell. This is its first year, the bush is still on the small side, I do have it in a small pot though. It has bloomed in regular flushes all season long, seems to have decent repeat bloom so far. It lasts good on the bush and in the vase because the ruffled petals have good substance I would guess that it is somewhat tender, but I'm not certain about that.

Jasdip, I find that very hard to believe. Does he have anything to support that claim? I have suspicions about that computer guy. I'm sure open to looking at facts if he has any. Opera was founded in Norway and is still based in Oslo, Norway. There are offices in Poland, Sweden and China. I have never seen or heard anything credible that they are anything but a Norwegian company and just the comment that they were sold for data collection? I would never let that guy access my computer.! There's been a lot of claims about upstart companies that threaten the beasts. Many companies, including American and Canadian companies have offices in China so if he's using that as a scare tactic it really lessens his credibility. Given that Opera now is based on the Chromium platform, like a bunch of other browsers, if Opera is a data collector for the Chinese, so is Chrome, Slimjet, Pale Moon and all the rest. I had so much trouble with Chrome, I quit putting it on any of my systems that I own or advise. I'm not losing any sleep. That claim is just too far-fetched for me without some proof. And Opera is a proven browser. I think that guy was either pulling your leg, had ulterior motives or was totally gullible.

Mantis - Princess Diary survived two of our bad winters, so its proven hardy here. I also love the blooms, and they always open without issue. The Princess multiplies well. It's only about three inches shy of the registered 30 inch scape. Most importantly to me, it is setting seed pods. So, in my opinion, it has all positives. I agree MsRed Byrd. I have always read they're difficult to bloom and I followed the dry, cool dormancy thing but it didn't bloom in late Winter/ early Spring so I thought maybe next year? I was so happy to see it blooming.
