Thanks, Val Of course it is Purple Maze, dipsandtets. I am totally dyslexic with the names. Thank you, I love Flying Trapeze and have from the first day I saw it. Rita, it was one of my first to bloom and had nine scapes. I wasn't surprised at the rebloom, but am tickled to have three bloom spikes this time. kay

I finally got back to the gym this morning, rainy, windy, etc. Hadn't been since around Christmas, shame on me. It's hard to get moving in the winter mornings.

Monica, your salmon sounds absolutely delicious!!! Summershine, that is one of my very favourite comfort foods. We love meatloaf with either mashed or scalloped potatoes. Like you, we're frigid, here in Ontario Shirley, here is the broccoli soup that we love. Ghoghunter posted it a few years ago. My changes are in brackets. Broccoli-Cheese Soup 1 tablespoon butter, melted 1/2 medium onion, chopped 1/4 cup melted butter 1/4 cup flour 2 cups half-and-half (or 1 cup milk and 1 cup half-and-half) 2 cups chicken stock 1/2 pound fresh broccoli 1 cup carrots, julienned salt and pepper, to taste 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 8 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese (I used much less) Saute onion in butter. Set aside. Cook melted butter and flour using a whisk over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Stir constantly and slowly add the half-and-half and milk, then the chicken stock whisking all the time. Simmer for a few minutes. Add the broccoli, carrots and onions. Cook over low heat until the veggies are tender for 20-25 minutes. Add salt and pepper. The soup should be thickened by now. Pour in batches into blender and puree (or use an immersion blender). Return to pot over low heat and add the grated cheese; stir until well blended. Stir in the nutmeg and serve

I got them all right, although D1 did take a little while. I've always enjoyed feeding and watching birds, and reading about them, so I guess that worked in my favor this time. Most of the hints are far too 'obscure' for me, I have no idea who most of the people mentioned in them might be. But at least I know who 'Chef Bobby' is! And it still took me awhile to figure out how to make that Chef Bobby clue match my flamingo answer. I must have spent 30 minutes looking up the names of Bobby's restaurants, to see if any were named anything that could be connected to the bird or specialized in Chinese food. I was beginning to think my answer was wrong when it finally hit me. This really was a fun puzzle, Jasdip, thanks! Rusty
