Don't know about the duck. The second bird may be a tufted titmouse with his tuft down for now. The third I'm pretty sure is a brown-headed cowbird.

The first one (duck) is a male (drake) American Wigeon. The second appears to be an Eastern Phoebe and the third from the size and shape looks to be an American Crow (the last pic looks like the bird is looking behind itself because the beak is pointing towards its tail and the beak looks substantial to indicate a large corvid).

Deanie, it wasn't a tufted titmouse, I know what they look like. this was a bit bigger than a titmouse and the last bird was much bigger than a cowbird. I wish there was something in the picture to give it scale...it's tough to tell the size with nothing in the picture but branches.

BN, thanks...I looked them all up and I think you're spot on, especially on the first two. There were lots of crows around where we were taking pictures But it seemed that this bird was bigger than a crow. Maybe it just looked that way...the coloring is really right!

Thanks Orrin...yes, that third one seems to be a mystery. It was quite far away and I was able to get pictures but there were so many branches in the way. I appreciate your confirmation on the first two. I'm excited. The duck is a first for me and before I can say the Phoebe is a new one for my life list, I need to check some photos I took last summer. I think I might have seen one before.

The third bird is a crow stretching its wing. I am positive.

Thanks Ellie! The reason I was kind of skeptical was that there were a lot of vultures soaring around this area and the bird in the trees was so huge looking. There were a lot of crows around there too tho. I may be weird but I love crows!! LOL
