How many volunteers do you usually get?

This year I've had an extraordinary number of volunteer tomaotes come up in my garden (20+ and still counting). At first, I gave them to friends and family, but quickly ran out of people who wanted a mystery tomato. Now I post them on the "Free" section of Craig's List in batches as they come up, and I've been inundated with people wanting to take them. Apparently, free is great no matter what it is. Normally, I get one volunteer a year. Always a Sweet Million, which I grow out. I'm on about my fourth generation of SM now (although it is a hybrid and not supposed to grow true to seed, it seems the same to me year after year). How many volunteers do you all usually get? Is twenty-something excessive and why so many this year but not other years (I'm not doing anything different)?
