They were in the Jacksonville zoo but free to fly around in their aviary

Gorgeous! I saw them flying around in Australia and most zoos now seem to have the walk-in Lorikeet cages, but they are so amazingly beautiful

Well, I suffer from some allergens but never from my bottle brushes (callistemon) and I've a few of various sizes and cultivars around my gardens that I clip and prune and come in contact with and neither I nor my wife have ever had cause to blame them. Also the birds - lorikeets, native miners, spine bills and other honey eaters - that rely on them for feed at this time of year have never caused the trees/bushes any problems. I think I've read some folks might be allergic to their pollen so you could try eradicating one and see if that helps.

We have a Lorikeet enclosure here at the Nashville zoo, and they are the friendliest birds. Don't mind eating from your hand at all.

Lorikeets is most beautiful and attractive birds i ever seen. Because of their colorful plumage people get's attracted towards this birds.

Hmmm, looks like the painted bunting has met it's match.
Interesting that it has only two forward and presumably two hind toes.

They are so beautiful. Wish a flock would descend on my place. But I can no amount of wishing will make that happen.
