That is great! Where do you live? I have a nest just finished. Ms. Blue was not in and out of the box at all today. They both sat on top of it. I will keep checkimg for eggs. Hopefully soon but I have strange things that go on around here sometimes. I never know.

Hi. I'm about 10 miles sw of Williston, Florida. I've had great luck here, much better than when we lived in Ohio. The sparrows always wreaked havoc. I usually have 3 broods every year. We have bluebirds year round.

You lucky duck! I'm still stuck up here, as I'm still very young. But it has been 10 - 15 degrees colder than normal this time of year, even for Ohio!

I don't even have ANY nest building going on! I think around here if the weather isn't warm the bluebirds don't bother starting a nest. I'm predicting either a late March start on the nest or even as late as mid-late April. Weather is still not forecast to warm up much for 7 - 14 days.

It is colder than normal here in central NC. It looked as though Ms. Blue was working on the nest a little this morning. Nest looks finished to me but what do I know. Sure hope it warms up soon. Maybe she will start laying then. Will keep you posted.

O - H to you Tim :). My family is still in Ohio, I talked with Mom tonight and she said it's very cold and windy! I sure don't miss that.

You're right, it will probably be a few months before the BBs get active there. But they're worth the wait.

I saw my first hummer of the year today :)
