Time to Clean Out the Nestboxes for Spring

I like the bluebirding forum because I can always hope but I have never seen a bluebird here on Long Island. I can not even get the tree swallows that I see flying around gthe skies to come check out any nestboxes.

I am hoping my chicadess come back again this spring as I have had them nest for the past four years. I also have lots of open nesters in the garden, my big boxwood shrub (about 7 feet tall) has either Cardinals, Mockingbirds or Catbirds most years. The blue spruces get Morning Doves and Robins.
