So...do you literally have to be a "friend" or "family"? or is it open to anyone. I don't shop there regularly...ususally only during the holidays...gift giving, etc. I would like to buy my master bath hardware from there and they have some fireplace tools that I have my eye on... capegirl

Joseph Corlett, LLC I don't mind solicitations for reviews. I got one yesterday from our flooring retailer and will provide it once I get the molding and after the flooring is installed later this month. I've gotten solicitations for product reviews in the last few weeks from online vendors. It seems to be an automatic thing if you make a purchase. The only reason I didn't provide the product review is because too much personal info was required to set up an account to submit the review. It's a verified purchase so asking for all that detail at the end of the process after I've written the review was a turnoff.

The problem comes when the other party stops making payments and you have to sue them. The lawsuit will cost something and there is guaranteed to be a big hot mess with everyone upset when you do sue. Having it in writing is a great idea, however simply because it is in writing does not mean things won't go wrong. And it won't mean you don't lose friends if something happens. In this case there was land to secure the loan. However, if it is an unsecured loan and the other party has no money, you may not get your money back. They can declare bankruptcy. Or you can go to court and sue and get a judgment, and if they have nothing, you get nothing.

Jinx - I'm sorry to have to deal with that. I saw your post too. I find it hard still with those going on about it being all the media etc. and saying it is a conspiracy to get the president etc. Fortunately these are not close friends at this point, but it really gets me especially since I have several friends in Europe who are seeing with their own eyes what is going on as many work in healthcare. I try to move on and skip it and hope we are ahead of things by starting social distancing earlier than many of the European countries did. Unfortunately I don't feel like looking at China is a good option since they have a way of controlling their citizens that isn't there in the same way in the Western world. We can learn from what happened to different age groups with their population, but as to control I don't think it is the same as they use ways that wouldn't work in the Western cultures until it is really bad to control things.
