GOOD MORNING, we are back from Boston. My daughter is officially graduated from college! We had a beautiful weekend and now I have a few days to breathe before she comes home to roost!! In the nestbox I have three 18 day old young birds. Mother was NOT on the nest with them when we checked last night. These babies are stretching and flapping their wings. It looks like at least one of them is a boy. Mother doesn't come all the way into the nest to feed them but she still comes all the way in to take sacs and do other housekeeping. (I thought they stopped going into the nestbox when the babies were a certain age.) I also noticed that the babies do not all gape when parent comes. If one has been fed recently he might not open wide for more food while the others do. They are also getting out of the nestcup and sitting up more. I haven't seen any peeking out the door though, so I don't think they are ready to leave. It's pretty cold here so I'll see what happens today. Probably tomorrow will be the day. Anita

As LoneJack said, the two rocamboles I grow sometimes have double cloves (German Red more so than Carpathian). Where there are two sprouts from one clove the two resulting bulbs will still be good sized except they'll be flattened on one side where they were growing up against each other. Rodney

Yes, finding money is lucky. I used to find lots of money all the time. I once found 2 $20 bills on my street on a Sunday morning! I, too, would never spend the found money. I put it in jars. Finally, last year I rolled all the coins and with that and the paper money, I had over $200. I finally banked it and started over. It's slim pickings these days, but I do still find money. My most recent find was a dime when I got out of my car at Walgreen's. As I picked it up, a really cute young man was coming up to the door of the store and he asked if it was "heads up"? I said it was and I hoped it was lucky enough for me to find what I was looking for. He said it should be on sale too! I happened to be looking for a spider web for Halloween for a big spider I have. I looked for quite awhile and was about to give up.......when I saw a package, just one, hanging on a peg. And it was on sale!!! Ca-ching!!!

Not to worry they will disappear...I've had that happen to me too where the post shows up briefly on the next place you visit too, but they go away. Seems to be part of the double posting issue where your post will seem to show up twice in a single thread, and then it goes away.
