Very Few Junco's this year

paulsiu

I live in Northern Illinois. Last year, one of the most common birds were Junco's. They show up in flocks and are entertaining to watch. They are often the first birds on the scene in the morning so I would encountered them when it's dark.

This year, I have very few Junco's. I see may be one or two Junco instead of a flock and they sort of mix with the American Tree Sparrows (which I appear to have a ton of).

Has anyone else notice a decline?

Paul
