Hey Josh, Thanks for the the tips, but I hope not to be doing much shooting other than quilts, plants & architectural details. I'm still am looking for work (15 months later, thank G_d for Unemployment Insurance extensions) & trying to prevent Quilting from upstaging my job search efforts. What pls. is "shooting in raw"? I've spent some time w/ the manual & have now cleared out sufficient room on my hard drive. Patron St. sent me some freeware editting stuff I still have to check out. As to getting it on the page, I'll confess, going thru Photobucket as intermediary. So far I've shot to the build it-in memory card & the removable one & played back from each to my PC. But I didn't know how to upload to here w/out copying the salient lines of code from Photobucket. Anyway, lots to learn, have just spent my first batteries, got to go buy more & a recharger. Bummer that I've discovered is my built memory card holds 3 pix -- 3???? Whose brilliant idea was that I ask you ...? Different units make different amounts of noise. Sometimes the achievable power levels are different as are the size of the induction zones. If you boil or sear a lot, look at the maximum pan sizes and the maximum power levels of each zone. Be aware of those for the unit you're testing and see how comfortable it feels. Just in case, the units have a maximum power draw that somewhat controls the speed of boiling and the heat of sear, the recovery rate and the time involved in big batch cooking. Using a gagg, fagor and viking cooktops, the top end burner is 2400, 2800 and 3700 watts. There have been issues in the past (and maybe are currently) for some people with the cooktop total wattage not being enough to run all of its zones up high. The widths and lengths of the cooktops are different even though I chose the same nominal size. Just as importantl the Viking was about 1.5" deeper than the other two. That kind of difference can be the difference between being able to have a short top drawer and having none. Some units have extra features like automatic pan detection or dry pan shut off. There is a linking feature for larger griddle that you may want or might not. I don't think there is a "standard set" of extras. I'd imagine that different units from different makers varying in reliability. I'm not sure enough units of any type have been installed in this country to be able to tell from reviews unless a large maker like GE has an identifiable issue. Hth. As always, your opinion is the one that counts, I'm just listing what I'd be checking.

Most play activity in puppies is part of developing hunting skills. You see the same behavior in wolf pups, lion cubs, etc. The difference between dogs and wild animals is that behaviors can be redirected---as in the bird ignoring example. All play behavior is not bad as it also develops muscle tone and coordination. A good way to start understanding a dogs behavior is to learn the breed characteristics. Here is a short description----The Bullmastiff is an impressive dog that carries itself with poise and stature. A cross between a Bulldog and Mastiffs, Bullmastiffs were originally bred as a gamekeepers' dog, and today are still prized service dogs that help the community through police work and a prized hunting dog. The breed was originally trained to track down poachers, but was trained to intimidate, rather than attack. Early Bullmastiffs were bred for utility and work rather than their looks. They did their work at night and their dark coat color was bred for this work; they were nicknamed the "Gamekeepers Night-Dog." As poaching began to disappear, the Bullmastiff was more in demand as a guard dog and the lighter brown color became popular. Looks became important for breeders, and they focused on creating a beautiful dog that was established as a pure breed in 1924 by the English Kennel Club. The original Bullmastiffs were fierce and threatening, but were trained not to bite the intruders. The modern day breed also has a very gentle, fiercely protective streak. Because of this breeding, the Bullmastiff is both a masterful watchdog and a friendly family companion. I have two mixed breed dogs, both aggressive breed mixes. They are three and two, the three year old is an Alpha dog. Both are very dog aggressive and would chase anything they moves if I let them. The two year old has found nestling birds out of the nest before they were old enough to fly. He grabbed them and then had no idea of what to do after that. He would need to be taught to do anything more. I make sure that does not happen. He still fixates on birds/rabbits/bees, but I redirect his attention. BTW, he is a Lab mix---the mix part is pit bull. So, his instincts are to fixate on prey more so than the other dog---a Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix---who generally ignores birds, but is interested in cats/rabbits/squirrels/etc. Both are unneutered and stay inside when we are gone---confined to four rooms. They play a version of tag and tug of war---under my supervision. The only problem between them is when food is concerned---or rawhide chews. My point is this, with proper training and pack behavior conditions in effect, most dogs can be taught to get along. Exercise is super necessary---walks are imperative. Letting the dog loose in a yard all day does not do anything for pack training, nor is it proper exercise. I cannot properly walk my two, so I bicycle while they run. The key is the exercise is done under my control---I am the pack leader. I am quite confident foosacubs dogs behavior is normal play---and what you are doing is redirecting any bad behavior quite well.

thanks everyone...i like this one too. chickeemama..this in in 3 pieces terracota from mexico i bought it off the side of road so it wasn't heavy haven't seen another like it since..it's not all that heavy after i finished it. ggg..i thought of you when i went out to my yard to take picture this one i made for myself as well as some of the others i posted pictures of.the rose one and the pedestal.
