Dracaena Fragrans Massangeana... I have one.. the trunk looks like it. Leaves don't look too healthy in your picture but with the right care probably would perk up.

ANDREA: Thank you.oh Yes,, having a problem with photobuckeet is a understatement.I have even went to their help site to find help with it,and cant get nothing there, either Linda:Thank you, Belinda's Dream is the most care free rose I know of.throw a little fertilizer around it a couple times a year and give it plenty water to drink and it sure does reward you with big gorgous blooms.Not a lot of fragrance, but a little.I love this rose..its a bloom machine, loves to bloom. Avedon: Thank you, isn't Belinda's Dream a wonderful rose..I have a baby one, too. JULIA. I don't know if this pink rose will survive your winters there, but,I am betting that it will,and its a rose you really should try, if you like big pink nearly perfect blooms with not a lot of fragrance to me.I can do without fragrance to have a perfect bloom,myself.and its a huge bloom, too. you should really give it a try if you like pink roses.Myself..I love any color as long as its a rose. Oh yes! My girls and I often find terrific buys like that - we go to the nursery very early in March and come home w $1 Delphs and Lupines, for example and stand agape when it's flowering time! At end of the season for shrubs n trees! I have a dwarf Korean Lilac that I only paid $7 for that I love to talk about. Glad someone else out there that appreciates the potential and looks beyond the aesthetics sometimes. Double the pleasure!

Gottagarden! I don't have an area that I could have a "real" garden as your photo's portray. Beautiful! I'm envious. And Gary! This was my second season of having them grow this tall. This also had been the 2nd year at this location. I don't know if it's the soil, or even the lack of light as the development has a lot of trees on the neighbors properties so sunlight isn't that plentiful. This development is also a flood plain so everything has to be on raised beds. Several varieties that are known (such as Arabian Night) and unknown grow prolifically. So I'm presuming there are many factors and even though seven feet tall it probably is unnatural. As this is new to me does anyone know for sure?????????? As to wind damage I use the tall flexible type reeds and tie them with nylon, so they sway with the wind. I check the weather and if high winds are fore-casted (such as a severe thunderstorm)I usually go out and check to see where the weakest points are and then tie until after the storm passes.
