I just checked and I planted everything 7/22. I also checked the GrowGuide from chestnut-sw.com and using 10/2 as a first frost date, this week is time to plant...tada..Spinach! (Sick of it yet?) Ongoing (that means a week behind schedule but still ok to plant) is: beets kale kohlrabi mustard greens radishes swiss chard turnips Peas, unfortunately, the last chance was around the last week of July. Changing the frost date to 10/6, it says new this week is radishes, and last chance for starting carrots (outdoors of course) and leaf lettuce (starting seeds indoors; the week of 8/11 is the last chance.) It's been a weird weather year so you never know what the weather will be like in 6 weeks. Hope this helps. Mark

Sorry, I think it's too late for most of the things on your list. You CAN definitely still plant lettuce, spinach, many of the Asian greens (various mustards, etc.), radishes, mache, escarole and endive. Broccoli and Cabbage probably wouldn't do anything now even from transplants -- they should go into the garden about mid-July for a fall crop. Beets and fall carrots should be planted by about August first. You wouldn't have a whole lot to lose by trying, but I doubt you'd get much of a root on either, since things grow more slowly in the autumn. If you had a coldframe to give them an extra month of growing time, it might work.

I planted the very same organic seed mix from Ace this year! Granted, I sowed the seed about 3 weeks ago now, but they did begin to germinate within 3 days (peas longer). I'm sure you'll get something, just maybe not the coverage you were hoping for. Like Ian said, it's probably fine.

Sultry, little by little I am getting my garden full of the veggies we like to eat. Eggplants are from a last season, new tomato seedlings for the fall, pole beans, cucumbers, summer squash, a big variety of mild Oriental greens, leaf lettuce, a different kale varieties. I will wait for the weather to cool down to plant carrots, beets, peas, spinach. On the herbs, I will plant parsley and cilantro, still have a variety of mints, basil, oregano, sage. Silvia
