Tomato pollination question

Hi, I learned from somewhere that tomatos are self-pollinated. Does it mean it does not need bees to pollinate them?

My husband put bird netting on top of the tomato plant. It has small holes that may make it difficult for bees to fly inside.

Anyone know about this?

Thank you in advance!
