Does it bloom, Jim?? Are the blooms yellow???

No Carrie, it hasn't bloomed, and I've had it 3 years.

Guess I should have read your origninal post more carefully (sorry about that). The leaves look similar to a plant someone gave me years ago and he called it a glorioso daisy, but the leaves do not match those of a daisy...only the bloom. I don't know for sure if that is what it is, but it sends up tall yellow blooms in the summer. The foliage is much prettier than the bloom. I use it as a filler because of it's nice clumping habit. Hope someone else can give you it's true identity.

Not green-eyed, but the Wildflower Center has Rudbeckia laciniata as "Green Headed" - wonder why no flowers?

Believe me Joel, I've done that. The problem, is that I haven't been able to make an exact match on the foliage, and without blooms now for 3 years, I'm not even completely convinced it's a rudbeckia. I have grown 'Irish Eyes', 'Prairie Sun', and numerous other rudbeckias, but nothing that had folage exactly like this. The foilage on the cutleaf seems to be similar, except that it gets 3 ft. to 8 ft. tall.

Take a few leaves in a Zip-Lock Bag to your Good Nursery to ID. Or go to Garden Line and send them a Picture. Randy Lemon is always willing to help

Hey Jim, how's the garden? We're having the tree trimmers come in the next couple of weeks to take out trees that died in the freeze and ones that have succumbed since the hurricane, I think the double whammy did them in. The chalice vines are all alive and starting to sprout, mom lost hers though. The big plumeria is coming back from the base but the whole top of the tree is dead, same with the rubber tree-about 29' has to be cut down and a couple of other trees including the starfruit.
