@ John: Fertilizing with Miracid. I use a dilute solution (1/4 tsp dissolved into a gallon of water, which is also supplemented with 1 tsp of fish emulsion) when I water. I've had it 2 months though the tree is 14 months old. In those 2 months I haven't had any growth. I just (yesterday) bought some epsom salts and some iron supplements (including micronutrients: .50% Magnesium, .02% Boron, .25% Copper, 5% Iron, .25% Manganese, .50% Zinc), though I haven't yet used any of this on the plant. @Jean: I'll keep the suggestion for a larger pot in mind. I have a slightly larger pot it can go into at any time if needed. Thanks to both of you for the tips. Fertilizing a bit more might be the first thing to try.

Seems like whats happening is they were are low on nutrients, started showing the signs(mainly yellow leaves from not having enough nitrogen) especially now that its blooming it uses more. You noticed and were hoping it was just lacking water and added even more which if anything probably made matters worse by keeping the roots from absorbing what little if any nutrients are left if any from the miracle grow soil. Of course this just speculation and my theory of whats going on, considering Im assuming that they have not been feed besides what nutrients were in the potting soil. If there were the case I would let the soil get back to how you had it and FEED it!!

It's possibly too much sun for leaves that didn't first appear during a really sunny period, combined with dry air. Some varieties may have a harder time with that, while some may not. Removing affected leaves may allow it to grow again, if it's stunted (although if it's determinate, be careful about this). It could be a copper deficiency, disease, pests or such instead, though. Removing leaves may or may not be risky, since we don't know that this is your problem. So, giving the plants partial shade may help. Any leaves that first appear during the super sunny period should be fine if this is the issue. If brand new growth is having problems, too, it's probably something else. Soil temperature may also be an issue, but that's a guess. Potassium levels in the soil might also be low. If the plants aren't strong, potassium levels probably are low whether or not the leaves show any signs of yellowing on the edges. It's also possible that the roots aren't healthy (which would make the plant more sensitive to sun); potassium and phosphorus should help with the roots. Over-watering, under-watering, excess nitrogen, or salty soil may also be the issue. My guess is that the weather just changed dramatically, though. You might check the roots for pests (like grubs, nematodes, etc.) Grubs could cause leaves to curl like this according to the link. I'm not sure how to treat grubs, but potassium would make the roots tougher and harder to eat. It should also help the plants to absorb water, and increase heat-tolerance somewhat. I doubt those leaves will recover, though. It looks like they're trying to shade themselves. If they're getting too much light, removing them will help the plant to receive less light (and require less water, although if they're being over-watered, you'll probably want to stop over-watering). I had a plant or two like that last year. I think they were probably potassium deficient and over-watered, which isn't a good combination (and they likely had root issues as a result).

Sorry for quick double-post.... To answer Hu's question about spraying: you are in a tricky spot because of the weather. As Silica said, you don't want to spray your leaves when it is hot (>75-80 degrees) because that can cook your leaves. My Meyer has been growing like crazy for the last 1-2 months but in Phoenix it is still 100 degrees. So, much of my new growth is deformed. I try and spray with water to knock the thrips loose periodically, but can't seem to keep up with it. In other words, you have few options during summer/fall flushes when you live in warmer climates like we do. I'm not aware of anything else you can do besides a rigorous spraying with water, multiple times a week as long as you are getting new growth.
