black and blue salvia

Taralyn

I have grown black and blue salvia for several years, but they always died off during winter, so last year I threw one into the front a new bed for filler, figuring on planting definite perennials this year. Sure enough, that sucker not only came back, but with a vengeance, it is 4 ft x 4ft and blooming like crazy - again, in the front of the bed - leaving a pink muhly grass in complete shade. Since it did this literally overnight, and started blooming, I did not get it moved fast enough. Has anyone transplanted the black and blues? Is it too late to move it to the back of the bed? Have never relocated salvias after they start blooming, and I don't want to lose it, just relocate. It is blocking my view of my Double Delight coneflowers...
