can anyone id these weeds for me please? (multiple pics)

I tilled a narrow 50+ foot area next to the side of my house last summer and was planning on planting a ground cover this spring but wasnt able to get work in the garden as much as I wanted to (Im expecting a baby at the end of June). The area is bare soil that's mostly, if not ALL clay dirt. I have a few tulips & hyacinths planted in that area and the last one just lost its petals about a week ago.

It seems like in no time flat, a whole ARMY of weeds have sprung up all over the place. Ive decided to recruit some of the neighbor pre-teen boys to come over and pull them up for me but wanted some help in determining what they are. There are four different kinds popping up, with #1 being the most predominant and #4 showing up in only three or four places. Any and all help is appreciated. THANKS A MILLION :-)

Weed # 2 looks like 'creeping charlie' to me.

Weed # 3 looks like a 'thistle' to me.

Weed # 4 looks like a ground cover ivy type plant that I used to have that got a little purpley-blue flower on it.

If you figure out what kills creeping charlie let me know!

#3 is prickly lettuce. An annual. Remove before it flowers and seeds.

I agree with m1shmosh. This isn't intended as a slight at anyone. But I think the biggest weakness on this board is correct weed identification. I don't know all the weeds. But I know Poa annua when I see it. That first one is Poa Annua. I've no idea on the 2nd picture. For what it is worth, one of the easiest ways to ID Annual Rye (AKA Italian Rye) is it tends to have a purplish red color at the base of the plant. Identifying Characteristics: The auricles that occur in the collar regions distinguishes this grass from other similar weeds, as relatively few grass weeds have this feature. Additionally, the red-tinged base of annual ryegrass helps to distinguish this weed from perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne), which is very similar in growth habit and appearance. WELL...last night someone on name that plant forum indicated that it was called Yellowrocket, which led to finding that it is probably a very close relative of Yellowrocket: Wild Radish. Whis is a very close relative to Wild Mustard :-) The only reason it can't be Yellowrocket is because the stems and leaves have tiny hairs, which indicates it is Wild Radish. However. I have seen pics of Wild Radish now on Google Images that don't look like this plant, and some that show Yellowrocket looking dead-on accurate, save for the leaves. Ha. At any rate, I'm pulling them up...tis' not to be... Thanks so much for your help, timbu and fammsimm. First photo of plant growing in place shows seed pods have already formed. Unless you are a magician, it is impossible to remove without dispersing the seeds once it has set seed. Ask me how I know :-))

Three down, one to go......I asked for help from a local gardening group and was able to get all but one of my "unknown" weeds identified.

Number #2 has been sucessfully identfied as GARLIC MUSTARD
Number #3 is PRICKLY LETTUCE (thanks jean001)
Number #4 isnt even a weed....its a BLACK LOCUST TREE
