What should I do?

I have many invasive plants around my place, but the worst are Oriental Bittersweet and Tree of Heaven. Both the Bittersweet and the Ailanthus trees grow in the same area, but last summer, I discovered that the Bittersweet is killing off all the Ailanthus trees. They are climbing it, shading it, and even girdling them. Last year, I tried to get rid of both at the same time, but it might be possible to allow the bittersweet to kill off the Ailanthus trees. Then I would only have one invasive to worry about, and controlling Bittersweet is fairly easy. What do you all think? Should I allow the Bittersweet to kill the Ailanthus trees, and then kill the Bittersweet off, or should I try to control both at the same time?
