Can you tell me what is causing this to my tomato plant? (photo)

Hi--This is my first attempt at growing tomatoes. I have 4 heirloom varieties growing in self-watering containers (so far so good), 3 Mortgage Lifters coming from a hanging planter, and one potted cherry tomato plant. This week I have noticed discolored leaves with some dryness. It mainly seems to be the lower stems; the top 2/3 of the plant looks wonderful. A photo of an example leaf is at this address:

Can anyone tell me what causes this? Is it early blight (the yellowing etc. doesnt seem concentric, however)? Wilt? Overwatering? Not enough? I moisten the soil daily; there is fertilizer in the soil. Is there anything I can do to fix it? The stems all seem fine.

Appreciate any help--thanks!

Frank
