I just can't believe that this year has went by so fast.
Time has really been on my mind lately (obviously). My babies are growing up so fast. The seasons come and go so quickly. I hope to grow old with my family, and sit and have the neiborhood kids make fun of my beard one day, LoL.
I'll be out on the porch crocheting (or trying anyway) and my little chin hairs will be flowing ever so gracefully in the wind, and the litte kidrens will stop and point and laugh at me, and I will think they are waving and saying hi, and in my "old woman" voice, I will tell them hi and wave back, Ha!

galium - Love that beautiful pic. I wish I could leave my gardens alone long enough to have "gardens". My poor plants should have "Frequent Flier Miles" ha!
I would love to just walk out and enjoy the gardens instead of worried abot that plant being too tall there, or that one out of place here, blah, blah, blah.

I have been doing some major planning this year tho'. I am making "theme gardens". Hopefully this will help. I have also realized, and accepted that I can't have one of everything, to just collect the plants I really move. I will ALWAYS have a place for my daylilies, iries, hostas and herbs. Oh, and my hydrangeas, sedums, roses, echinaceas.........hmmmmmmmm. not doing very good at not having one of everything am I? Oops! :-)

Oh, guess what I have hubby doing....dusting and vacuuming. Hee hee

You all should have received an e-mail earlier with everyones info on it. You also should have just received your secret pals name. Now remember, this is a Masquerade Party. We all have our masks on....we are in disguise ;-)

I would like everyone to receive by atleast Halloween Day.

I think its best NOT to post when you send as to keep your identity a secret this month! I (well, my husband, LoL) knows who is sending to who (or whom....?) So, I'll know if someone doesn't send. I think we have an EXCELLENT group of ladies here, so I have no doubts about everyone sending.
Post when you receive tho'! We all want to know what you get :-)

Remember, you can put your partners name in the "return address" on your boxes to help keep the secret.

We'll figure out some sort of contast for who can keep their identity a secret, or who can guess first, or something...LoL
Throw your ideas out and we'll go with the best one!
Who ever comes up with the best idea will get a "Surprise Package", and who ever wins the contest, will get a "Surprise Package" as well.

Sorry for being MIA yesterday. Had two boys home from school. One with an ear infection and the other with bronchitis.

About pals! I know that a couple of you had asked previously to keep the gals you were sending to. I ended up having to drop a couple of gals because of no shows and not answering e-mails after 4 weeks. So I had to do some switcharoonies. Kristen also had to make a few changes do to this.
So, I still have the original line-up. FOr those of you who want to keep your previous pal, let me know, and I will make sure to pair back up in that order for you all. FOr those who would like a little shuffle, let me know as well.
No problems either way :-)

This is for the new gals.
General Guidelines:

Send out a box eaxh month to your assigned partner

Put in items that you think your partner would enjoy
(use your pals questionnaire to help quide you)

In the appropriate months, send plants, bulbs, seeds

Send out in an appropriate time frame. Usually atleast by the third week. The sooner, the better. But we know things
happen. Just try and get it out within the month.
If you are going to be late, either post to let your pal know, or e-mail me and I will contact you pal for you.

Some gals prefer only garden related items. Others, anything goes. For instance, I collect rooster, so anything with arooster on it is ALWAYS welcomed :-)
Some of us collect houseplants, garden decor, books, magazines,handmade items, etc.

The boxes don't have to cost a fortune.Just make them nice. Something you would like to receive!

If I have forgotten anything, please feel free to add to this!

Lisa - I haven't received any e-mails from you that I can recall.

Do you gals want to do "themed" monthly swaps every month?
We could just throw one in here and there, and on these months, sometimes we can pick who we'd like to send to.
Who would like to do a book/magazine exchange in the comming months? Maybe after the holidays when the snow is on the ground, and we are in between WSing, etc.

Throw in any ideas you have.

Remember to give me some ideas about a contast this month as well. :-)

Hello everyone,

I received an e-mail back from Tina, explaining that I have been dropped from the swap apparently because I haven't posted enough and haven't sent my boxes out. I am posting to explain some things before i stop following this swap for good since apparently Tina doesn't want me in it. 1. I did have a very bad health problem and some computer troubles from time to time but so did our host and I have made several posts, I think probably as many as several other members. 2. I have sent every box due out. Granted when I was sick I did get behind but I just sent my pal 2 boxes at the end of September (1 for August & 1 for September) I have the conf # for all of these boxes to prove that. 3. I have not received any box in this swap since July and Tina (HummingbirdDaisy) was my secret pal. I know this because in August she e-mailed me saying she was sending 2 boxes that month (1 extra for Kayla which had some yardsale toys and clothes in it) I never recieved it or any others. 4. I am sorry that I failed to keep up with whatever swap rules I broke that caused me to be removed. I really enjoyed picking out goodies for Bogartbaby and her furbabies. She was my secret pal. 5. I was finishing up the Halloween kitchen towel and was planning a Christmas towel to go with your Spring one you already recieved and the Fall one that is in the box you just recieved or should be recieving soon. Let me know if you would still like to have them (would make you a set of 4 total) and I will be glad to send them to you. 5. I have been very dissappointed in the actions of our host even though I still enjoyed the swap and would have continued being in it even though Iwas not receiving boxes in return. I think the secretness of the swap itself has allowed some people to get blamed for things they didn't do and others to take or give credit for other things to other people and no one can tell since we didn't know who our secret pals were. For example who would have thought the host would fail to send out any except the very first box. 6. Just to set the record straight the questionaire sent in by YOUR_SECRET_PAL was me. I was trying to get more conversations going on in this swap along with trying to pick out the perfect Christmas gift for Bogartbaby. 7. If I sound angry in this post I do sincerely apologize, to be quite honest my feelings are very hurt at the moment. I do not understand why Tina would not have at least e-mailed me about all of this and knowing who was pal to who she should have been able to tell that I was sending boxes since Bogatbaby has always posted what she recieved in them. It also hurts that she is accusing me of not sending boxes when she herself has only sent me one box throuhgout the entire swap. I have not had a problem with waiting for her to get caught back up with her boxes because I "thought" she was being patient with me getting caught up also. Apparently she wasn't that patient and simply dropped me without telling me.

I do hope no one on here will feel angry with me or not trust me. I do so enjoy GardenWeb, trading and my favorite is the Round Robins. I know that reputation is very important on here and would just hate it if no one wants to trade or parnter with because of this. And Bogartbaby I am sorry that I will not be your secret pal anymore, I really do think you are a really great person. I even had your furdoggies some new toys and Halloween goodies for October's box. If you want them or the other to crossstitch towels, please let me know. I will miss you all.

Well, as everyone knows, bogartbaby reported no boxes.
I did not feel it fair to send to someone who wasn't sending.
I am sending a copy to each of you, the e-mail in which I received tonight, and the response.
As many of you know, in September, when I was having some difficulties, I COMPLETELY removed myself from the robin.
I sent Lisa several e-mails, and never received any repsonses, so I told her I would have to remove her from the robin for awhile,but that she could come back later when things straightened out. Not yard sale items, but items from my daughter, that Lisa wanted. She did receive from me, except for Sept.
I also want to point out that I didn't start this RR. It was here for a year before I took over as hostess. mgood4you ran this for a year, and we had a blast!

Lisa, my apologies if you truly feel this way. If you could have answered e-mails, I would have worked with you. I think you know that.

IF you did send to bogartbaby, you did it AFTER you was notified of being removed. If she would have received, she WOULD have posted. I have no doubts!

Both months that was sent was a month behind, with no notice to me. No posts were made acknowledging an boxes received from simplylisa either. June, July and Aug boxes were sent out to simplylisa. As far as I can tell, no Aug or Sept boxes has been delivered.
