To kill or not to kill?

So I have late blight...what a beast. I have 40 plants (~6 feet tall) on drip in 5 gallon containers in my greenhouse. I have started to spray the plants with copper soap in hopes of making them happy again. They look pretty darn sad though. My tomatoes are getting funky and the plants have no new flowers. So...I have had the thought of cutting them back to stumps to start over again with new growth and retain the soil/root system I have in place. Any thoughts on how a plant might recover in this situation or how successful I will be keeping the blight away with regular spraying? My plants look funky...thanks for any feedback!
