OK Ladies I have been working on our up-date list for the group seems we are getting bigger & bigger .

For all the new gals that have Joined our group , On behalf of carol myself & the others

we would like to say welcome & hope that you will take a part in our group & sign up to be a

Hostess in our 2007 swap . If when it comes your time to be hostess & you find that you cannot

this is ok for there are many others in the group to step in .

PLEASE there are 12 months :)) & I hope each of you will get a turn :)) as for now

anyone who has( NEVER) Hostess a robin please get your feet wet :)))

its easy just tell me what month you would like to be Hostess of .

then tell us the type of robin you would like to have .

i am having a lot of fun with this game. cindy and carol, on #2, i laughed so hard at your answers. i will say cindy's mind is working towards the real answer. i am wondering if anyone will ever get it. just think of all the actions a dentist does to prep you - well, at least my dentist does it (and dang, is he one good looking man !!!!) amy was the closest on #1 and then shirley answered it correctly. #3 i might take some liberties with, because several of you are close, but i guess it's tough if you don't know her name. i think i've only used it two or three times in previous posts. finally, someone got my shoe size. the right answer to 4 has been guessed and answered correctly twice today, although in different words. so now, 1, 4, 6, 7 and 10 have all been answered correctly. and carol, yes, the razor was a great gift and to this day, i still use the same kind. i'm starting a new post where partners will be assigned. i'll post this over there as well. maryanne

Thanks sassy for the frog pics. I just love them. I found a new site lately for picture storage and I think I may set up an account with them as you can make your own web address off of their site as well or so I've heard. flickr.com is the site ever hear of it. If anyone is really into taking pictures, like I am with my digital camera this would be a site for you to explore into. You can search numerous picture subjects and wow, what results all has there to share with the public. Some photos that I never thought I would have taken an interest into using as a subject has caught my eye and peaked my interest enough to say, wow, I'm gonna try that. Well worth your time to check it out and see what ya think,anyway. Just search whatever comes to your mind on what you would like to see and walllahhh, it's there in all forms. Beth, Hope your dog doesn't butcher up your lovely plants to much. I guess choppin them up with the tail is better than ingesting the foliage though. Better that end than the latter,huh or you could really have a mess on your hands. Do you have any begonias in your indoors collection, a couple kinda looked like it but I can't really tell as I'm just starting to get into the houseplants again. When my kiddies were wee little ones I gave up my houseplants for their safety but now that they're nearing graduation I felt, huh, I think it's safe now. I got a begonia plant from a garage sale and the leaves are gorgeous but I'm not sure exactly what window I should be putting it into. At the moment its in a north facing window, should it be in a south defused lighted window. Susie, did you run out and make snow angels or catch a few snow flakes with your tongue? Remember doing that as a child? Gotta keep the child spirit in all of us alive by nourishing it. May take a we bit longer to get up and down from making snow angels but just as fun as the very first time. I love all the photos everyone is contributing, this is so much fun. Well Ladies... I never got any clearance bulb shopping done today like I said I was going to : ( Oh well I am sure someone else gave all those lonely bulbs a home.Maybe there will be some left this weekend for me to snatch up.Not that I really need any more..but like I said before..there is nothing I like better than a sale : )I shoudn't complain about today tho.I did manage to get all my swap boxes ready to go for this month : ) The electricity went out in our entire town last night and it took them all night to get it fixed!Thank goodness we are having unseasonably nice weather.Otherwise I would have had to put little sweaters and booties on all my birdies : ) It actually was kinda cool really because there was a Full moon Sunday night so it was still really bright last night so I just opened all the shades and hardly needed any candles : ) Oh Sassy,I can't wait to see what you come up with for me besides : ) and : ( LOL!!! Hi All, I guess I missed all the July weirdness. I'm glad it didn't last too long. I'm for once getting behind on my box! I have stuff, but it is not yet enough, and I am so tired from work! And now the morons scheduled me to work 7 days in a row! I have next Wed. and Thurs. off, so I hope to have it out then. Michelle, Thunder happens during cold storms. The freak snow thing in Oct. here was weird that night because the power went out and all you couls hear was sirens, tree limbs breaking, and thunder. I do hope the coming weather is not as bad as they are making out to be. Maryanne, Lol! I have trouble putting away the crack pipe. I'm so sorry to hear that your neighbor is not just an idiot, but is a real creep!! I'm not sure how I would handle living next to someone like that. I'm glad you like the tomato seeds. I tried to make it as varied an assortment as I could. If anyone else needs tomato seeds, I still have lots of many kinds just let me know what you want in a tomato! No trade neccessary.(Jeanne you can probably guess I'm sending you some: ) ) Julie, Poo Poo Gaslight, lol! In my head I hear that stripping "Boom chicka boom". Change to "Boom caca boom!" Lol, the weird places mind goes. Did you see the post where I wrote that I had received a letter from Jeanette? She did seem ok. T2, "Cuz they fall for the beer-trick, too." Lol! I'll take Hostess for May of 2007. Haven't decided on the theme, maybe frog related. HHmmm we'll see on this one but May looks good for me. Maybe somesort of western theme as my HERO #1 hubby is and has been a Hopalong Cassidy fan since he was a wee little one. Maybe we'll round up some new cowpoke gals and capture ourselves some new plants from the prairies to fillin our open ranges. We'll have to see. Fun, Fun, Fun Playin with nature with my fellow woman cowpokes from all over the country.

I'll gladly take October, and do a "Halloween Swap" or "Fall Swap" (Halloween items could be included) we could also add bulbs/plants/seeds (miscellaneous colors, not just orange/black or it becomes more difficult to select what to send) and I'm sure everyone will have an extra surplus of plants, bulbs, seeds by next year, after all the trading we did this year!

This is a great Idea. By the time it is the new gals turn they will have a good feel for how things work (And sometimes don't work). They will also have a strong coaching staff available if needed.

Weird. When I posted, Amy's post wasn't there yet. I'm still scratching my head over that one.

Well, if January isn't taken by the time this post is up... *grin* How about a January Fruitcake Swap. You know, like the Christmas fruitcake that lots of people get and don't want. :) If say you received a gift over the holidays that made you wonder why on earth anyone would send it to you. You can include that with your package. You can even just send a fruitcake! Sound like fun? I'm all for unique trading. :)

O.k. Klick, love the cartoon and your fruitcake theme!! We have a similar theme in our family, we have a Hickory Farms salami gift package that has been "re-gifted" for 10 years! Its a big joke to see how it can be disguised....it has been all over the country... Don't worry I won't send it to the Fruitcake Swap. hee. maybe. ;P

they all sound like great swaps. a cookbook swap, interesting. i think when we started this group, our first swap was a book swap and it really was a good one. the year really got filled up fast.

i'm going to start my fruitcake now so it's nice and ripe come january. you can all fight among yourselves over who gets me as their partner LOL

You don't have to sit out. I don't think it's limited to fruitcakes. I thought it was any gift you got that didn't really suit you. Kinda like re-gifting, lol. Or maybe, as long as you're a fruitcake you can play.... I'm in!

Deb, please don't sit it out, I don't even like fruitcake, but I have the most scrumptous (sp?) receipe for fruitcake cookies you'll ever eat in your life! I have to bake them EVERY Thanksgiving & Christmas! or I'm just a terrible person! lol Will be glad to give it to anyone that wants it. My ex-husbands mother gave me that receipe 25 years ago, and I still to this day sware that Julie & that receipe are the only good things that came from that misery of a marriage! lol Thank God I got me a good one the 2nd go round!

Let me know dear, I'll be happy to email it or post it here. But I guess we do need some options, you could send fruity pebbles!?! lol Just so it is fruity!?!

Post it here, I'm sure that I'm not the only one wanting to try them. It's been really chilly the last few days, time for baking!

MMmmmm if anybody gets a box of Applets and Cotletts for Christmas, let me tell you those things are awful. Don't even open them, just send directly to me in the Jan swap and I'll be sure they get disposed of properly. I never could figure out how anything so fruity could be so bad for you ;')

I love the gettin down with it kitty, sassy, where did ya come across that one? Sounds like we got quite a few good ideas for the trades this year and I can't wait. This is such a fun group to be a part of, Thanks to all and I look forward to swapping with each of you eventually. Our # of members is getting up there so it could be awhile to trade with each of you but know what, that adds to the fun and gets variety involved in both plants and themes. I LOVE IT ALL.
