One of the largest flowered Morning Glories that I've grown was Tie Dye Blue from Park Seed. (see link below)

The flowers were nearly 7 inches across when the plant first started to flower. As the summer progressed and the weather turned hotter the flower size decreased. (This is normal for most flowering plants.)

I mention this with one caveat: This variety tends to produce somewhat split flowers that don't hold their shape properly, no doubt due to the large size of the flowers. The flowers are so large and fragile that wind or rain tends to damage the flowers easily.

Still the color combination is stunning (purple with white and lavender stripes) that I would forgive the plant this fault. ;-)

An added bonus is the variegated foliage which is mottled with mint green, cream, and dark green. Even when not in flower the foliage is stunning.

Another variety with large flowers is called Mt. Fuji Mix. This variety produces flowers in shades of sky-blue, purple. lilac, lavender, salmon, pink, and deep rose--each with white "starred" throats and wide rim of pure white. This variety is available from Park Seed also.

Oh, almost forgot to add: There is also a Tie Dye Pink with similarly marked flowers. Again, this is available from Park Seed.
