I am just a nooobie her, but can tell you that the guru's are going to ask about your pot size and drainage, soil composition, fertilzer make-up - frequency, maybe temperature and watering amount/info; so might as well answer that now and avoid the delay. Might put your zone # in too. I suspect that there will be attention the the fertilizer issue; I would suspend ferilizing for the moment until they advize. D (tomato grower in colorado)

The description of this blue flower was so intriguing that I kept checking back to see if anyone ID'd it so was glad to see David's answer. . A photo of Blue Waterleaf/Hydrolea ovata is on the Wildflower Center website. I can see a family resemblance to the native waterleaf I grew in Illinois (Hydrophyllum virginianum), but no spines grew out of that flower!
