I found all the common morning glories at: WalMart, Lowes, Home Depot & even a few at K-mart. If you want to find really neat ones on ebay just by typing japanese morning glory. I also got a few neat ones from the seed forum when I traded salvia seeds. Hopes this helps. Helena

I had never looked before and I found some at a local Hardware Store. I am considering putting some down--Grandpa Otts, A Mix, and some Sweet Peas to see what can happen. It's my first time. How do you nick the seeds?

This is not meant to be funny since you can easily get cut but I carefully scrape the seed with a knife. I used nail clipper for the large seed mg white scented one ( for the life of me, can't remember the name). Maybe a file might work too. Helena

I used scissors and nicked them slightly. I guess its to get the water into the seed when you soak them? I hope I didn't cut too much! I'm going to soak them overnight and plant them tomorrow morning.

Seeds that have been nicked and soaked will sometimes germinate within a couple days. Most are up within 10 days. How fast it blooms depends on the variety and growing conditions. i have some that have started flowering in a few weeks, others take much longer. Most varieties like at least a full morning of sun to bloom.

PS: I've found that an infant nail clipper works great for nicking the seeds, even the small ones.

This year, for whatever reason, I didn't nick mine, or even soak them and they were up within about 14 days. ... At least the couple that survived my seed tray blowing over and mixing everything together.

I have bought some off of Ebay and I'd also check out Parkseed.com - I bought some off of there as well. I think the ones I got off of ebay were like.. $3 for 1/4 a pound. haha
