Finding the Best Tomatoes / Best Rating System

How do all you people choose what to plant?

This year, to get my list of the best tomatoes to grow, I spent many weeks gathering information on heirloom tomatoes here and all over the internet. It took hours and hours, and I still wonder if I'm planting the best varieties. There are many postings on GardenWeb asking people to list their top 10 or top 6, but it's all very random and unscientific.

Cornell University has a site called "Vegetable Varieties for Gardeners" that has the best rating system of all. I propose that everyone on here try entering their information on their site. It is very searchable and the information can be broken down by state and growing season.

I've got 14 heirlooms (ok, some are hybrids) finally going gangbusters. Some of them I got earlier in the season and would not plant now. I could still squeeze one or two more in. Am I missing any essentials?
