Again! Big Plants, Zero Fruit

Ever since I took the forum's advice three years ago and started planting heirlooms and more exotic varieties, I no longer get any tomatoes -- just tomato vines.

Different weather, different planting, different varieties, different everything except results: Failure.

I mean, how do you screw up tomatoes in SACRAMENTO?

This year, I caged the plants -- which has worked well and kept the garden from being a lush jungle of barren vines.

Now, the plants are 4'-5' high, deep green and utterly devoid of fruit. Last year, some varieties gave me no (0) tomatoes, some gave me one (1) tomato over the entire season.

This year's planting:

Caspian Pink

Momotaru

Cherokee Purple

Black Krim

Jetsetter

Heatwave

You'd think the last two at least might work, but not so far.

Anyone in this area know what's wrong?

Would a reputable nursery sell varieties unsuited for the local conditions?
