I too hope to purchase more of these from the Kivistik collection and have had trouble finding photos of many of them. Google has just an image search function that you can use to search for photos with "clematis....", and I have also searched for "image clematis ...." on Yahoo. I did come across Roogoja Farm's website which has lots of photos. In the link below, you can click on "Clematis" in the left bar, and when you scroll down the page, there will be a table of around 45 of what they consider the best clematis they have bred. (If you are like me, this will probably cause you to desire varieties not available in the US). If you click on an individual variety, it will take you to the photos of that variety in the gallery section. If you just want to skip the table and go straight to the photos, click on the "Clematis gallery" link instead and scroll down through the photos. All my new clematises from last year look okay...except the one I bought at a florist/garden center...also bought a yellow jasmine from them and it did nothing either. When I went back and mentioned that the "Radar Love"(Gotta LOVE that name...oh ya, Golden Earring!)wilted and died, she said ya, someone else said that too...then did not bother to speak of a refund or anything...and now the jasmine has not come back...well, it is still early so I better stop right here....but I sure love clematises!!! Bought 7 last yr and i jasmine, 1 virginia creeper, and 3 honeysuckles!!! So I am with ya, Rita, on the not adding much this year...have been looking at a site (15 minute drive away!)that has some certified organic fish compost that I wanna try...even tho it is $75/yard. I do want to get a climbing rose called "joeseph's Coat"! Noticed I have some peonies that didn't do much last year...are poking their heads up!! WhooHoo! Forgot what color they are so they will be a suprise(either pink or red)

Kathy; can't say enough for your beautiful roses,and then clematis.Just GORGEOUS. I lost my best Clematis recently.I kept waiting to see leaves popping out,and didn't see any so went and looking for why not..and found it was dead.either chewed off at the ground,or it rotted off,and so far its not coming back out,so guess I will be hunting a replacement.I have 2 just starting to bloom with huge blooms.haven't took any photos yet.I don't see my big double white one either.so Might have to replace several of them.Went to Home Depot a couple days ago looking for some but they don't have any yet,or wal mart either. Ok, will be watching for more of these beautiful photos. Jean

buyorsell, I have the Stolwijck Gold. The foliage is really impressive. It grows really thick and full. But not very tall. No pruning required at all in my experience. I recommend a post like trellis for this instead of the usual two dimentional trellises. It will cascade in all directions on the pole like trellis. You can get the same effect with an obelisk trellis.
