Went through the box, kept some seeds, put some in, kept a garden spike, put one in :) Hope you enjoy the things coming to you ggsnail.

It'll be neat to see what seeds come in! I know I'm going to love some of them! (That insider trading thing, you know). I will probably order a couple of things after I see what comes back, so if anyone wants to try to do a group order, I'm open to that idea (I haven't tried it before, but saving on the seed company's shipping fee would be nice) I went to a garden show last weekend, put on by the master gardeners in the adjacent county. I got seeds! They had a seed swap, and I folded up some &%#@$% paper envelopes (the rules said "no plastic." grr) I'm glad I did, as I got some neat stuff. I now have a ton of yellow tithonia, so if you notice this, Drippy, you can strike that from my list! (or just send it, I'll pass it on). I got Hungarian Daisy, which I'd never heard of, but I'm glad I grabbed it. Sunset Echinacea--does that grow true? Does anybody know? I brought some wintersowing propaganda along too, so at the seed swap table, when people started saying "poppies are so hard to start from seed..." I had my brochures ready to go! It was really nice to go to a garden-related event at this time of year, even though I have wintersowing going on too. I hope everyone is staying warm, especially you, Drippy, with your hands out of your pockets, sorting seeds!

I may have listed this before, but if not: I have many red salvias blooming and setting seed. I am not sure which are which - I planted at least four types this year. Anyway, they have done well for me despite a rough summer and they continue to bloom as the weather turns to fall. If anyone wants a packet of assorted red salvia, let me know. I will easily have multiples to share. I also have white - variety unknown. They have done well also. Can trade more than one packet of these. I also have balsam impatients. These grow very well for me. The variety I have planted is Peppermint Stick. When I replant from them I get mostly blossoms that include both red and white, but some turn out to be a solid color. That's all I can think of to list for now. Wouldn't you know I went out to try to take pictures today and all the rechargeable batteries were dead. Maybe I can remember to get out there tomorrow. I planted some morning glories under a sweet gum tree and the vines went about 15 feet or higher up into the tree so I have white blossoms in the sweet gum tree. I think they are Pearly Gates. I will have to try that again next year! Jeanne

Oh heavens, Jeanne! What a "welcome to the neighborhood" that was. I am glad that they didn't lose too much, but still, how devastating. I doubt this makes you feel too much better, but my whole family on DH's side all live out there in southern California in various places. We've had scares over the years and close calls, but they never lost anything to any of all the numerous fires. Even though the fires are common, those victimized by them are not as numerous... I mean it's not like everyone is out a home now and again out there or anything like that. I would figure that being devastated by a fire like this wouldn't happen all the time to same family. I think it's something that might happen once in your lifetime, if even that... I don't know if that helps ya, but it's just my 2 cents... Also, not sure if this helps you, but I remind myself that worry is the opposite of trust or faith... that wakes me up sometimes.... I guess that depends on your faith, though, or lack there of. ;-) As for the seed sorting, once again, you are very organized about this and doing a terrific job! Don't worry if you need to slow down a bit (or pause things) when life happens. We all do understand. I hope you and your daughter are feeling better soon... I am sure it was traumatic. Thank you Jeanne, Thank you everyone! I love my seeds, I got so many of my wishes, and some super cool stuff for my themes! A special thank-you to those who sent things specifically for me! I hope no one minds the crude packets I had to make after I misplaced my ziplock baggies. Jeanne, you did such a great job! This is quite an accomplishment! Maybe there should be "Gardenweb Merit Badges"--like in Boy or Girl Scouts. If you host a swap, you earn a badge for it--it's definitely something to be proud of completing successfully.

I received the box. It actually came yesterday but I have not been able to open it and go through it. I will do that today and get it back on it's path.

The box went out yesterday to sguanzon in Arizona. I sent it on to Susan because I read in another swap that Jamie is in the middle of moving. Before forwarding it on to her maybe we need to get her new address.

Got the box! Some cute things in it. I took a cute little garden hat, am going to pick up a new flat rate box and re-fill it today. adding a bunch of seeds too. Will post with confirm # when it's off to Jamie. Thnaks for hosting Cherrisa!

Hi all I wanted to let you know that the box has made it's way back to me. I want to thank each and every one of you who took the time to trade. It was a very successful robin. I got a bunch of great seeds. Mostly trees which is great because my dad loves to grow trees. There were so many things in the box that it's hard to name them all. A couple of broken items but that's ok it' happens.

Thank you again and I hope you all can join me for a swap in the future!
