hi falldaisies =) i am guessing this is directed at me, and you want me to change the blurb beside your name? its hard to fit too much info in there, if you would summarize some general wants ...or what you want you want the blurb to say- i can edit it. it is best if its short and sweet, just a general idea of what you want. right now yours says - falldaisies zone 6 (flowering bulbs, artichokes & blueberries dwarf fruit trees indoors/citrus) if theres something else you want me to write there, let me know, but lets keep it short. then have you figured out how to edit your "seeds wanted" list? thats the place for all the specifics. just list everything that you want there, then when someone goes to your page they can read all that. its good to have a nice long want list, so dont be shy about listing everything, often times people will look over it and might even surprise you with extras from your want list. GW is not very intuitive with its layout, but at the bottom of every page theres a large grey area with many links. click on "member pages" and then edit your exchange list...from that page you can edit all your info and fill out your have and want lists.

As one of the'northern'collectors you refered to,it was good news to read that you and Michael K. are going to be able to expand the cryptanthus offerings. We on GW think highly of Michael and his operation,and order from him often. Additionally,as mentioned in earlier postings,I assist the Staff at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens with the bromeliad collection procurement and maintenance,and currently are preparing an order for him that will be quite extensive.These new broms will be used to establish an all new display in a soon to be completed 'Epiphyte House'remodeling.I will post a few photos,to give all my friends here an idea of the building size,an also some pics of the damage that occured around the property during the surprise early October snowstorm this week. The report is that 80% of our areas trees were badly damaged by the wet 18" snowfall and winds,as the leaves were still on them,and the weight was just too much. This freak storm was caused by a 40deg.difference in the Lake Erie water temp. and the freezing air temp.,resulting in just the perfect conditions to give us so much snow in just 12 hours.Ironically,after it passed,the temperatures were in the high 60's,and all the snow melted away. I go to the sale every year ( my in-laws are big in the Cleburne Iris Society). To get the best selection onf DL you have to be there when it opens and know what you wanting...they go really fast. I got 2 (my usual per year of big $15 ones) Hidden Riches (yelow) and Bubbling Edge. One of the promenent Iris Sellers was selling all his stock at 1/2 the marked price - he only sells 2000 and newer - so this is a wonderful deal. I got Holly Kosmoly, Prince of Tides, Starring, Heartstrings Summer, Creme De Ore and another Rush Hour (my personal favorite). I spent $30 on DL and $14.00 on Iris...cheapest year yet for me, but I'm running out of room! ON a side note...I've been splitting my iris beds over the past few weeks, if anyone else is too and would like to trade I would love to hear from you. I posted under have on the exchange board, but my only responce was someone wanting me to attend their garage/plant sale ather than an interested person in trading. ~angie~
