Rosigold Mango Blooming

The Rosigold mango I bought at the Fairchild Mango festival this summer is putting out blooms! Isn't this the wrong time of year?

Regardless of time of year, I want my tree to spend its energy on growing some size before I let it fruit. Is it better to remove the blossoms, or wait until it sets tiny fruit and then remove those? I know some kinds of plants will keep sending out flowers if you pick them off. But if you wait and pick off small fruit the plant is tricked into thinking it succeeded and won't send out more flowers. Do mangos have this characteristic?
