More progress, new bed...

or what I did with all those swap plants!

The Walker's Nepeta Low is a great bloomer in this heat and I'll definitely add more of it around the yard. Plan to add some taller evergreens against the house this fall.

Here's what it looked like in February the trench is electrical for the new garage. The giant, industrial size gas meter was replaced with a normal one and that makes a difference too.

Here's a beautiful lavender and white verbena I picked up for 50 cents at Lowe's. It wasn't blooming at the time so the color is a surprise. I'll try to winter this over because I love this color.

Even with all the new plants and the drought our water bill is around $35 a month which is about 90% less than our neighbors.
