As you know, I know nothing, except I do know how to surf to Tatiana's Tomatobase, which says it's all the same thing, including Abraham Lincoln Original and Abraham Lincoln Buckabees.

It doesn't mention Abraham Lincoln Improved, though Reimers says it's a hybrid: "This cross bred variety combines the heirloom variety with the early maturity variety."

I don't know if Tatiana's is the be-all-end-all of info, but since it's a wiki, if there were bogus info someone could correct it.

Of course, what you really want to hear is from someone who has grown these things! Yeah, that wouldn't be me. Yet.

When Wayne Hilton bought the Shumway name and started that back again and also Totally Tomatoes, he went to SSE members for seeds and that included Abraham Lincoln, aka Abe Lincoln, aka who knows what, and that was many many years ago. All of Hilton's companies were sold to Jung's several years ago.

All I can say is that the whole area of the various Abraham Lincoln versions is, to me, one mixed up situation and I wouldn't make any comparisons without growing the various ones and making my own comparisons and quite frankly, I have no interest in doing that whatsoever. LOL

The Holy Grail of Abraham Lincoln's is to find the original one, version, strain, etc., that had bronze leafed foliage and while there have been some claims of that from time to time none of them turned out be be proven and documanted.
