WANTED: Mercer / Houston area Spring swap date and info

HI everyone!

It is that time again....I have not updated the website but the date will be April 17th...

Please let me know what you will be bringing food wise and how many will be coming. Unfortunately, Mary Ellen and I got our wires crossed, and are having Mercer and Galveston County swap on the same day. We promise to try and avoid that in the future...

We have a sort of potluck lunch every meet. We will be having chopped beef sandwiches and hotdogs, but anything you want to bring is welcome. Below is a list of things that we will be needing. If you see something that you would like to bring, please email me and I will put you down and update the list of things still needed. If you can think of something that we will need that isn't listed please let me know and I will add it.

David, my hubby will be in charge of the grill.

Not sure it's the right time to dig them out, but they have been here for 26 years, planted by the prior owners. Can dig them out if anyone wants some. especially the ones in the flower bed. forsythia branches, all you want that I can cut fresh. 3 potted up pussywillow bushes that may or may not root. I'm going to try my best to make the fall swap. I missed the Spring one. We've had one bad thing after another happen to us since March. I haven't had the chance to work in my flowerbeds or plant anything at all. I have seeds, different size planters and planters made especially for rooting cuttings and will try to come up with other things that might be of interest for trades. Would any of you know someone that could help me with this? My neighbor gave me a commercial greenhouse last summer. We don't know how to put it together or where to even start on it or what other parts it may need besides the cover for it. This is what I know about it. It has metal poles/ribs. I know it's at least 32 feet wide and can be made into any length I want. When my neighbors had it up a few yrs ago. It made two commercial greenhouses end to end. It had 2- 4ftx4ft fans in it which she also gave me, I can't ask my neighbor about it she died a couple of months after giving it to me and her husband as since moved. I don't want it as big as my neighbor had it I just want a decent size greenhouse that will hold one of the fans ( the other fan we have other plans for that). Is there anyone that lives close to me (I live in Waller, Texas) that would like to make some extra cash $500.00 that could come and put this thing together for me? I'll buy all the materials that you would need to put it together. You would not have to do any plumbing or electrical work. Don't know what plants I will have that I can dig up. Trish, are your stepping stones concrete? I'm interested in them.

You are not alone beachplant, I lost almost everything too The electricty went off The greenhouse froze most of the exotics gone I will have somefigs a golden rain tree,bald cypresses and some spanish daggers

I, too, will be digging up plants this friday. Everything will be bareroot, since everything has been slow to sprout, nothing has been potted up.

I too had a large loss over the Winter. Here is a list of what I have up for trade. Some I will not bring if a pre-trade is not made. I have loads of Green Lariope(border grass) Its very large and pretty. I would also love to trade for pots. Not nursery pots so much but clay, ceramic and plastic decorative.
