Who did I get all the bromeliads from at the fall trade? I owe you big time. They are doing great!! What can I bring you this year? I'll get my list together over the next month or so, probably after Mardi Gras, but if you are looking for anything in particular let me know. I've got tons of tropicals, water plants, etc. Tally HO!

We have had some great swaps in the past but this huge swap tops them all. The Galveston County Plant Swap committee worked hard to bring you this incredible event. We had an immense amount of plants to choose from and the cooks outdid themselves. We also had gorgeous silent auction items, and the information booth with the 3 Master Gardeners and all their free literature was an ENORMOUS success. "BUT" this swap would not have been worth a pot of beans if it werenÂt for all the generous friendly swappers who attended. You are the ones who made this swap such a success and you REALLY put on a show this spring. A Houston Chronicle reporter was present to interview swappers and take pictures. Watch for the upcoming article on our swap Our next swap will be held Oct 13, 2007. For those who have not attended one of our recent swaps then come join us for an extraordinary experience you will not soon forget. I will be posting pictures soon on our web site. Happy gardening. I was wondering if this swap is just for those living in Galveston or if others are allowed to attend? This would be my first spring in TX and I would love to get to know some fellow gardeners!

Is anyone from southwest Houston going to this swap? I would like to send something with you to give to someone there. I live near the intersection of Chimney Rock and W. Bellfort. I'd be willing to meet you somewhere nearby, either that day or prior to the swap. E-mail me directly, please.

First thing is I made a spelling error on my list. It is not Green Eye Rubbecka but Green Eye Rudbeckia.
Second if anyone wants to send me or Mary Ellen your list along with your email we will be happy to post it on our have/want list on our web site.
Please be sure and check out this web site as a lot of swappers, who are not members of GW, are starting to turn in their list to be put on our web site.
This is really going to be a fantastic swap with a lot of hard to find plants.
    See y'all there.

The swap is only a couple of weeks away! I hope everyone is getting as excited as I am! The weather is cooperating and most of my plants are growing a foot taller every day! I hope everyone who is coming to the swap will stay a little longer this time because we have a fun swap in store for you. In addition to our free barbeque lunch with hot dogs and hamburgers made to order by our barbeque chef "Dubba B" Billy, we are having fantastic door prizes, a freebie table of discarded gardening items, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction with some awesome gardening stuff that you won't want to mis out on bidding for! There will also be plenty of Master Gardeners on hand to answer any questions you might have. We had several late-comers last time who didn't get a chance to trade very many of their plants or get very many plants because most everyone left early, so we are hoping swappers will stay longer to reap all of the fun that we have planned for you! Hoping to see all of you again this time! Come, relax and enjoy!

Be sure and check out my list of plants to see if there is anything on it you will like me to bring. Several of the plants will need to be dug up and I won't be bringing extras unless someone wants some.
We are going to really have a blast at this swap. We have gathered some really nice door prizes and items for the silent auction. Lots of plants, lots of swappers, lots of food, and LOTS OF FUN!

I don't know what is going on Shannan. I tried all of my emails and they work plus other people are emailing me daily. I just sent you an email at your new address. I never received your list and sent other emails asking if you wanted me to bring you the blue barrel or do you want to come by and get it.Try to email me again and if it doesn't work just contact me through GW.
Remember a couple of months ago I changed my email to mjenke@verizon.net
If this doesn't work just give me a call if you still have my number.
