1800 gph won't probably even run that at all quite honestly. Fitting a pump with what stream and head you have is often a little trial and error for DIYs. For every foot of water weir (width of fall) you need about 1200 to 1500 gph to get a decent depth. Obviously more if you want more effect and sound. For every horizontal 10' you have one 1' vertical head. And obviously the 2.5' to 2.5' for the vertical head. So you have about 3.5' head. Depending on the pump there will be a chart for how much gph @ what head will be. Now that pump will be fine for a foot wide stream and a foot wide/.25 to .5" depth waterfall. Now a 12 foot wide fall and stream it won't even fill a trickle. If the fall is 12' long, okay. But if it is 12' wide...we need a MUCH larger pump to get anything noticeable off that fall. Take your 12 foot width times 1200gph and you get 14,400 gph pump. That is a hefty pump that will probably need 220 power and probably be external. We're also in the thousand dollar range for a 15,000 gph pump. I'm hoping that you meant 12' long, if not you need to start worrying about a lot more money than a couple hundred for a 2000gph pump. Good luck, but you're going to need it if its a 12' wide stream and fall.

I grew up in the northern woods where violets were absolutely everywhere - the main species (if indeed it was just one) was a woolly blue wood violet that is apparently considered to be just a variant of Viola sororia (but after growing V. sororia, I beg to disagree!). The only thing they lacked was scent - and being into herbs from a young age, I knew that sweet violets were supposed to have a rapturous fragrance, and that I had never experienced it. Several attempts to procure the real sweet violet met with failure - gratuitous mislabeling is rampant in many local nurseries, and I ended up with the real Viola sororia (weed extraordinaire!) that way as a birthday present. A tiny white native violet from particularly moist and cool spots, maybe V. blanda or perhaps one of its relatives, did have a wonderful scent like clover blossoms and honey - although it was a sparse bloomer, and it took about 10 flowers to make a thumb-sized bouquet, I did cherish it. Finally, on a serendipitous trip East to scope out potential colleges (and stopping at every nursery and garden on the way), we bumped into a man selling plants by the roadside in upstate New York; he had a pot of violets labeled "sweet violet" for sale, and I recognized the leaves as V. odorata instantly. This was summer; it wasn't until it bloomed the following spring that I realized it was quite a rare variety.

I got mine from all different sources. BULL'S EYE came from Edmunds. EYES FOR YOU I got from Burlington Roses. EYES ON ME came from Lowes. EYECONIC MELON LEMONADE from Regans. They carry all the "Eyeconic" series ones. And got my BLUE FOR YOU from Cliff back when he first opened EuroDesert Roses. Not sure who has BFY anymore tho. Disease resistance is generally pretty good on all of them, but this yr has been such a weird, wet and cold one that they all have been hit with black spot.

One thing to consider is what happens when something goes wrong. Last time I ordered checks it was an ordeal. I usually order from Current but for some mysterious reason my order at Current was canceled and I was never notified. Tried again, same thing. So I gave up and ordered from my bank, then my bank check package went missing. Tracking indicated the checks had been delivered, but they had not actually arrived. Advised the bank and they asked me to wait a week, after a few more days 3 of the 4 boxes arrived, the 4th one never did. The bank put stop pays on the all the check numbers of the missing box at no cost and I was sent a new box with the next set if check numbers. My understanding is that I had ordered the checks from another business that I would have been charged for the stop payments for the missing box.
