heres a few of my tomatos, these were seeded on the 7th of Nov. and planted on the 20 th of Dec.

These will be the last for me until Sept when I reseed. Im actually pushing things as its the end of Feb. Summer here is brutal, but I do get three crops a yr. These are my newest kids. When you guys up north are eating good maters in July think about us poor people in south Fl.

Springs here, The grape vines are budding new leaves.

One of the things ive learned is to carry a marking pen in my pocket and put dates on every thing I do. You will be surprised how often you use that information. Your seedlings look good.

Everyones plants look great, I am so looking foward to the first ripe fruit from my plants, here are afew pictures of them a few days ago.

Day 50 in Northern New Jersey. Gonna put them outside on Tax Day, hoping for my first tom by Memorial Day.

Here are mine, as of yesterday, 25-30 days from germination. Slightly blurry phone camera pic, but you get the idea. From top to bottom, Sungold Select II, Placero & Chadwick Cherry.

It's nearing the end of the winter growing season in Miami. I am trying a few heat tolerant types to see if I can have something over the Miami summer. The left group is Micro Tom, The right is Sunmaster and a marigold plant.

More new for 2011, 4 more Sunmaster.

I was about to make a thread to post pictures and I noticed this thread :)

wow so many varieties amongst everyone! And all the different stages of growth at the same time of year because of all our different climates :)

I can't wait to have space to grow several indeterminate varieties! I might try to grow one or two on our roof (its flat and has a short wall built around it) after the long summer...

I did try to grow tomatoes last year but it was way too late and when they were still very young they all died due to the extreme heat.

This year I started a tad bit late too but a lot earlier than last year. I am hoping I can get tomatoes that have the chance to ripen before the nasty heat comes on.

I am only growing 2 each 2 varieties, Fargo and Homestead 24-both determinates.

Can someone tell me why my photos do not appear in the post?

This is day 4 after planting seeds. Looks like I've got great germination. Most were planted one per cell but some which I had in abundance such as sungold select, green grape and since I used less but larger containers plum lemon were planted 2 per cell.

Dang TNVG, you moving again? at least it's before plant out.

catman: Yep...lol...Roommate situation. Sharing a house with nice lady in your part of town/Franklin. I'll be living in Forest Crossings. She's wicked psyched about my gardening too & said I could make the whole yard into a garden if I wanted...lol. Moving this weekend. =)

I started most of my seeds Jan. 4. I transplanted this year on 2/24, two weeks earlier than last year. It's been pretty mild with only one light frost and a lot of 80's/60's days the last week or so.

My first fruit is on my first container plant, which I thought was a Bloody Butcher, but since Bloody Butcher is a potato leaf variety, this is a mystery plant. The seeds were given to me so I won't complain and the plant is setting fruit nicely too.

Most of my in-ground plants are putting out their first blooms. I'm growing 30 plants(many colors and sizes) this year, 6 of which are at a church garden. I live in the DFW area.
