Comments (2)Hi friend , Im from West Bengal, India. If u want the seed , let it grow larger and mature. U may pluck it after spring. Btu it is the first seed of a young plant. It is hard to germinate . Use GA to germinate it. By the way , in India Parijat is planted not in the east as it is treated as the tree of sorrow . Best of luck. Comments (0)Hello Friends, I wanted to see if someone had some seeds / saplings which they could spare. I am just getting started and needed some help. Here are some of seeds /saplings which I wanted to get. I went to our local nurseries but was unable to find it. 1) Nyctanthes arbor-tristis (Night-flowering Jasmine) also known as Parijaat in India. 2) Fragrant Roses. 3) night blooming jasmine (I bought a couple of plants from our local nursery but they do not have any fragrance to them) 4) Any other strong fragrant trees or fruit trees you may have. Comments (95)Gardenias are only difficult to grow in climates with dry air, especially dry climates that are very hot and sunny. I think it would grow better in Southern California if it were put inside a humid greenhouse during the Summer. The fruit of Quince is fragrant too, the most wonderful smell, very floral and almost a hint of violets. There's a particular odor within the aroma that is one of the elements in the smell of pears, I can pick up on, but the overall fragrance is definitely not like pears. I am talking about fruiting quince (Cydonia oblonga), not ornamental flowering quince. Some people used to leave a basket of quince in the kitchen to make things smell nicer, or even hang quince in the closet. I think grapefruit is very fragrant too, as well as Bergamot Orange (not really good for eating though).
