Planting location for Wax Jambu
Comments (3)I have a potted wax jambu here in houston, hot and humid. I have it in full sun, and there is no damage. I think it just depends on what the leaves are used to. If you had one growing in shade and all of a sudden move it to sun, then it will get burned....but the young leaves will adapt to the sun. I find this to be true of most tropical plants....See MoreWax Jambu (Wax Apple) in SoCal - no flowers
Comments (3)I think the weird weather may just be disrupting them. I have three varieties; one produced flower buds in April but it took a long time for them to bloom and a bunch of them simply fell off without blooming. Eventually it bloomed in May. Now the fruits are 3-4 weeks from being fully ripe but a number of them are dropping already. Not sure why. My other two varieties haven't bloomed at all, but all of them have been growing a lot of new leaves/branches at a decent rate. So my guess is the weird hot winter and cool summer confused them. But I'm not sure....See MoreLooking for Jujube, wax jambu, Star fruit and Barbados cherry cuttings
