In your thread in the Gallery I wrote -- I don't understand what you're concerned about. You say "Cucumbers have whatever this is,the worst, then the squash, the watermelons and the pumpkins." but you don't tell us what "this" looks like. Please describe or post images. You also wrote "The leaves are being shredded." You show us only one leaf -- how many leaves are affected? If only one or several, it's not important. Could have been a one time thing. Could even be a mechanical tear. I suggest you not spray until you find some critter for us to ID. Even then, it's likely you won't need to spray. Please give us more info and more images. Thanks. OK...I thought I was over the killing my worms stage, but I just lost my worms because of too much moisture. The worms were climbing out the sides of my stackable compost system and ended up dying because of the high temperatures during that week. When I drained out the tea, there was about 20 oz of liquid from the spigot. It was my fault, because I neglected to check the system during a week of high temperatures and I think more moisture developed from the rotting food than I normally expect during my weekly check ups. I was wondering, if I just left the system alone, whether the cacoons that were already there would still hatch. It has been a week since I discovered the carnage. I loosened up the entire system by tossing each tray and have not added any new food. I did notice some mold, but there has not been any flies or other things crawling around in the compost. This is worrisome because the first time I killed my worms when I was just starting out over a year ago, there were a few worms left. The remaining worms came back like a champ and I had what looked like thousands of them in my 3 bins. I am grateful for any advice or help.

My first thought was rain spots, but why wouldn't the new growth at the center be affected? Hoovb, how quickly would that spread to plants on the other side of the house? Mai had a microscopic mite attack an Aeonium & other plants a couple years ago- not visible with the naked eye and no webbing. Exceedingly difficult to figure out. Have you tried clicking the leaves over a white sheet of paper? You can then examine the paper with a magnifying glass or loop. Might even see movement with the naked eye. I would also like to know about that stunning purple plant. Your plants are all beautiful from what I can see.

I'm the least knowledgeable person here regarding roses, so I may be way off the mark and feel free to disregard. This is just drawing off my general gardening experience. Usually, when plants are dry, all of the leaves droop. Leaves turn yellow and go quickly from yellow to brown and crunchy. When plants are overwatered, the leaves also turn yellow but there isn't drooping (until they get really, really mad about it). I don't see any drooping leaves on your plant like you normally would on one that's dry and wants water. Is it possible that you are overwatering? Just a thought... Carol
