I think naked ladies is a better name anyways! I could imagine doing a search to find a picture. I am sure you would get a lot of hits. I am sure my wife would be suprised at me getting a naked lady in the mail. "So hun what we get in the mail today?" Then I would say " Oh not much, someone sent me a naked lady!" What a riot!

I will randomly select (like out of a hat) and snail mail your pals info. I might be able to email some of them. Gotta check on that. Once you get your pal info you can start sending/receiving! Then I will make a new thread for gifts received so we can neb at what everyone got!

Nice page Mgood4u. You do know what you want! By the way the orange daylilies that you probably are trading are H.Fulva a wild variety that can be quite invasive. My mother in law grows them and they are nice. I can get them along the roadside up the road. Now if they are a double flower they might be H.Fulva Kwanso which I grow and are not as invasive. I love the orange flowers on them both! BTW you can also eat them too! Tastes like lettuce! Would be nice in a salad. I would like lady slipper orchids too. They grow this far north and can be found in Door county here growing wild. I looked and looked at your page but didn't find any cheese I live in Wisconsin so I have plenty of that to trade. LOL!!!

Mgood4u- I would dig you up some but I have only seen them growing wild when I was younger. They are protected here. Supposably they grow along the road somewhere near here and their are signs to keep the county from mowing along the road there. Highly endangered and highly protected. I do rescue some plants from the "wild" but I don't think I would feel comfortable digging an endagered species from the wild. Not without night vison goggles and a black suit anyway! Probably drunk wouldn't hurt either. LMAO!!!

A trick I learned from a fellow trader ;)--when sending your package out you can put their addr in the to and from spot---that way your pal won't see where your sending from & figure you out!

You can start sending as soon as you get info if you want or wait until May---remember the minimum is 1x/month. But you can surprise your pal as much as you want.

On May 1st or sooner I will start a new thread so we can post our goodies we got and thank our secret pals for sending them.

M, The PO gets uptight, not using our addresses. Thank the terrorist. My Secret Pal in another 12 month swap was doing this and her PO told her after 2 months to stop. You can prob. get away with it occasionally, but once they notice, they'll say something. It also puts the packages at risk of being opened/inspected and who knows what else. One of my good friends is a Postmaster and she's good about letting me know what we can and can't get away with.
SAlso, somethings folks might want to consider when sendiing heavy boxes a long distance, the Flat rate boxes are great money savers! A lil small but if you're a good packer you can fit lot's in. Esp. early in the year when plants haven't grown much.

I have an Idea...what about somebody come up with an idea of an address we can use (fake of course) as the return address. all of us would be able to use it as the return address on the package. would this work? on another gardening site I belong to that's what they did and it seemed to work out fine? and dusty thanks for the tip on the flat rate boxes! do you have to pay for them? how much?

The flat rate box is $7.70 which includes the postage. They are really handy! Used them a couple times myself.

I don't know about the return addr. thing. I did it with my box before and PO lady said "Any reason why this is the same addr?" I told her it was a secret swap thing. And she just said OK. But, due to terrorism, like Dusty said you might end up having the PO go through your stuff. As of right now I have 2 trades that were supposed to be sent to me that are MIA. One time I had a bubble envie returned in a plastic bag - it was ripped up. Guess it went through the shredder! I have sent things without writing my name and only putting my addr. That's an idea as well.

Rec'd my SP info yesterday. Time to start hunting for some goodies!
