Goose Creek

I saved seed from a Goose Creek plant (bought from Laurel, 2 years ago) and grew a few plants last year. The fruits of one had a hard core, and the other 2 were nothing special. I fermented the seed and thought it was the only tomato blooming at the time (no cross pollination). So, do I need to buy another plant from California to get those originally wonderful fruit??
