How much soil on top of a lasagna garden is needed

Just put in a new lasagna garden. I put it in a 12X4X6 block, starting with wet newspapers, layering half done compost, leaves, grass, bagged cow manure and peat moss, on top of it all we used 2 cubit feet of growing mix, two bags of top soil and two of cow manure do you all think I can plant in that top mix? It really isn't all that deep, maybe two inches all spread out. I'm not too sure what all I'm planting out there. I'm think maybe some more cucumbers, beans, beets, spinich and lettuce. I just read about this lasagna method and I needed to give it a try. I'm going to plant this in the square foot way.

Thanks for ALL ideas on this.

Vicky
